Caroline Pegg – CEO

Caroline has worked in the disability sector and held direct Support Worker, Team Leader, Coordinator and Senior Management roles within government and non-government agencies across many service types, from Respite, Day Support, Residential, Case Management, Emergency Tenancy Support, Disability program and policy, and Advocacy and Information since 1989.

A natural systems thinker, project manager and policy and program developer, Caroline spent her first 3 years with ACD Tas from 2005 on secondment from Disability Services state government head office undertaking Individual Advocacy and designing and developing a model and policy and practice framework for ACD Tas programs. Recognising the communities need for advocacy and information and the empowerment and advocacy for change potential of ACD Tas through non direct care type program provision and strengthening the peer workforce and peer community of practice, she has been successful in leading and developing ACD Tas, with a team of committed individuals, in her role as CEO since 2009.

Alongside her vast experience and knowledge in the sector, Caroline has an Advanced Certificate in Developmental Disability and an Advanced Diploma in Management and is a family carer.

Caroline remains passionate about her work for ACD Tas and the organisation’s goals and objectives towards influencing equal opportunity and social inclusion positive change outcomes alongside people with disability, and their parents and carers, advocates and supporters.
